You have come all the way out to Las Vegas for a goal, whether that be to make connections, purchase equipment or parts, or something else, so you want to make sure your experience is productive while allowing yourself a little bit of fun.

Preparation

The key to a successful CONEXPO-CON/AGG experience is to prepare. We are not talking about preparing flights, hotels, and cars because you hopefully have already done that part. We are talking about your goals for the show:

  • Who are you there to see?
  • What are your there to get?
  • Where are the booths you need to see?
  • When are your meetings (if you have any predetermined meetings)?

Once you have those basic questions answered, you can start to build your plan. ’s website has great resources for you to help you build your show plan, including the feature.

Using the My Show Planner Feature

Why is it important for you to use the feature? The My Show Planner feature allows you to organize all of your goals and events in one location. Since it is a digital planner, you will be able to have it with you wherever you go. In addition, it is filled with everything happening at CONEXPO-CON/AGG from booth locations to educational sessions and more!

Finding the Booths

First, you can use the to find tons of information about the various companies or categories you are looking into.

Once you find a company you can start to find their information such as booth location, description of the company, new products, product categories, and more.

If the company you research is a company you want to visit, you can add them to your by selecting the orange “Add to My Show Planner” button or any of the orange “+” buttons.

Finding the Educational Sessions

If you are participating in any of the education sessions, you can add that to your plan as well! By clicking the same orange “+” buttons, you can add the individual sessions to your digital plan.

Badges

You want to make sure you pick up your badge(s) before getting into the convention center. There will be several stations at the airport as well as various hotels along the strip for you to pick up there instead. If you wait until arriving at the convention center locations once the show opens, you could be wasting important time by standing in a long line. For information about badge pick up spots, follow for more information.

At the Show

When you are at the show, there will be many distractions from large, new equipment to booth workers trying to get a conversation out of you. You want to make sure you have your plan and stick to it. There are not enough hours in the day for the CONEXPO-CON/AGG show for you to get too distracted. A couple minutes here and there will not hurt anything, but getting sidetracked may mean you won’t be able to accomplish your goals that you set out for yourself.

Post-Show Relaxation

The show will be a lot, so it is important to take a moment to breathe and relax. The best thing you can do after a show is to write down notes from the day. What did you see, who did you talk to, do you have any follow up meetings, anything from the day that will be helpful to you when you are back in your home office. It is important to write that information down as soon as the day ends so that you do not forget anything.

Once you are done with that, enjoy Vegas! Go check out a show; get some good food and drinks. You earned a little relaxation for conquering the day.

Eagle Jaw Crushers

The best value on the market, the Eagle Jaw Crushers are designed to eliminate premature failures to provide years of component life, durability, and reliability to meet the needs of your toughest crushing applications. The also feature flywheels with QD-type hubs for easy removal of the flywheels. All moving parts, including the reversible, full length- deep-ribbed jaw dies, are contained within the main housing, making Eagle Jaw Crushers ideal for portable or skid mounting.

The jaw crusher processes abrasive hard rock, using the time tested overhead eccentric design. The short bearing span between the side frames reduces stress and shaft deflection. They eliminate premature failures caused by fatigue from uncontrolled stress with a “stress control” design of the frame and alignment of the bearings, shaft, and toggle seat. Full 360-degree support at the bearing ensures maximum bearing life, with outer bearings mounted directly in line with the side frames to eliminate stress.

2036 Portable Jaw Crusher

The Eagle 2036 portable jaw crusher provides high strength construction without unnecessary weight making this crusher ideal for portable and skid-mounted applications. It is built rock solid with proven technology and designed to last with minimal service and maintenance. The portable jaw crusher has a unique two-step, 5-foot grizzly deck to remove fines before crushing. Including a removable electrical control panel that features pre-wired receptacles for radial stackers, the 2036 Portable Jaw Crusher manages the feeder speed for continuous flow of material into the jaw crusher with variable frequency drive (VFD). Additionally, it includes a wireless remote control for the feeder shutdown and all motor stop.

Understanding the financial programs available to you /understanding-the-financial-programs-available-to-you/ Fri, 09 Dec 2022 01:45:34 +0000 /?p=13208 The post Understanding the financial programs available to you appeared first on 91.

]]>

For the past decade, interest rates have been at historical lows, however with increasing interest rates and inflation, new equipment prices might come as a shock. The use of the proper financial programs can help offset these rising rates. You do not want to hit rock bottom and not have cash flow, so knowing what financial programs are available to you will help keep you up and crushing it.

Other options to purchasing equipment

Before we get into the financial programs, your first step should be determining if buying is the option for you. Questions can start with:

What is my company’s existing finances?

What would be the length and frequency of use?

What are short-term and long-term costs associated with this equipment?

If you are still uncertain if buying is the right option for you, then check out our previous blog: Maximizing profit by choosing between renting and owning equipment. If you are certain, then the next question to ask is…

What financial programs are there?

Stated option lease

This allows a contractor to finance equipment without a large up-front payment. Customers retain cash flow while using the equipment and at the end of the stated option lease, customers can purchase the equipment for a guaranteed amount—thus eliminating the risk of making an unknown “fair market value” purchase.

Fair market value lease or off-balance sheet lease

Similar to the stated option lease in that there can be a lump sum due on the equipment at the end of the lease. The amount due is based on the fair market value of the equipment at the end of the lease period, as appraised by the financial institution.

Accelerated payment program

The quickest way for a contractor to build equity. Such a program increases the value of a trade allowance in the event of an early trade-in and is ideal for contractors who do not have a huge net worth. This option has the lowest gross repayment, and the customer will actually be paying less in interest costs.

Skip payment program

Designed to match the customer’s sales period. It is often the ideal choice for companies that have equity and are able to make higher payments during the months of the year that they are producing. This option is particularly appropriate for contractors doing business in colder climates, where weather can shut down production.

Conditional sale contract

This is the most common financial program. Typically, we can finance 100% of the sales price with no money down. Then, equal payments are spread throughout several years. However, an initial down payment could be required depending on credit. With a conditional sale contract, a contractor usually establishes equity up front by making a significant down payment with no money due at the end of the contract.

Looking to finance more than just your crusher?

91 is excited to be exhibiting at CONEXPO-CON/AGG and to celebrate being only 4 months away from CONEXPO-CON/AGG, we’re taking a look at our last four times exhibiting at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.

2020

Exhibiting at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in 2020, 91 debuted the 32×60 Jaw Plant that featured a patent-pending hydraulic toggle system. The 32×60 Jaw Plant is 91’s largest portable jaw plant so far and attendees were invited to see the plant from a new view – underneath the jaw, while allowing attendees the opportunity to operate the various jaw functions while it ran above their heads!

Along with the jaw, 91 debuted an all-new portable closed-circuit impactor plant, the 1200-CC with Pre-Screen Feeder. It features an innovative hopper with powerful pre-screening capabilities, this unique portable plant is able to produce a wider variety of product from the start, eliminating the need to invest in auxiliary screening equipment prior to crushing.

Finally, 91 debuted an all-new cone crusher, rounding out our portfolio of bare crushing equipment, that includes our ٰѲ® impactors, jaw crushers, and hammermills, and making available a complete line of crushing options.

2017

Exhibiting at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in 2017, 91 debuted the two newest product innovations, 鲹辱ٱDz® and 龱鲹®. The RapidDeploy features closed-circuit crushing, screening, and retractable conveyors on one chassis with more productive screening capability than its closed-circuit, track-plant counterparts. It also featured higher discharge heights on all three of its retractable conveyors than available track plants, allowing for easier truck-loading of material and moving stockpiled material less often than with track units, and is easily serviced without sacrificing portability. The RapidDeploy was so popular, 91 developed the RapidDeploy 1000, a larger version of the now-named RapidDeploy 500, at World of Asphalt/Agg1 in 2022.

RipRap was specially designed to provide aggregate producers with the ultimate portable plant in high production screening—featuring two, five-foot, adjustable grizzly decks and the widest feeder in the industry at 67” x 24’. The plant’s reversible cross conveyor allows for a variety of on-site set-up options to further accommodate producers’ needs and help expand their product portfolios. RipRap is available in both diesel and electric.

2014

In 2014 we debuted our revolutionary new -ʱԳ® at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. The -ʱԳ® was the closed-circuit portable HSI plant that can produce three spec products on a single chassis. Our booth was also a hit of the show, allowing attendees to have the best views across all of Central Hall.

2011

In 2011 we showcased our most popular plant still to this day, our 1200 closed-circuit portable HSI crushing plant. We also showcased our largest jaw crusher at the time, our 32×42 jaw.

Looking forward to 2023

The preparation for bringing you the latest and biggest technology 91 offers has been in the works for months. We’re excited to announce which three pieces of equipment we’ll be bringing to CONEXPO-CON/AGG, starting next month. You won’t want to miss out on the announcement, so make sure you’re following us on social media or signed up for our newsletter.

Maximizing Your Crushing Equipment Layout /maximizing-your-crushing-equipment-layout/ Fri, 04 Nov 2022 01:24:20 +0000 /?p=13246 The post Maximizing Your Crushing Equipment Layout appeared first on 91.

]]>

There’s no time to waste when it comes to crushing your production output goals, so you want to make sure your crushing equipment layout is right for the job. That’s why we’re taking a closer look into the layout of your portable plant and rock crushing equipment to make sure you maximize your crushing equipment output while minimizing any redundant processing.

No matter the industry, there are generally two types of crushing equipment layouts that are installed for the job: an open circuit layout and a closed circuit layout.

Open Circuit Crushing System Layout

An open circuit crushing operation is distinguished by its multi-stage layout of screening and crushing equipment. Material flows through these plants without ever being returned back for additional processing, giving the workflow more of a smooth, assembly-line feeling.

As open circuit crushing equipment layouts often require numerous machines for processing material, it can sometimes require more of an investment to obtain equipment and a larger amount of space to install it on the job.

However, as open circuit layouts rarely return material for additional processing, they can be valuable in achieving maximum efficiency. This makes them a great option for high-capacity locations where the layout won’t need to be moved or reconfigured often.

Closed Circuit Crushing System Layout

In a closed circuit crushing operation, feed material like concrete, asphalt, or aggregates, can be crushed by an impact crusher and then returned back to that same crusher for further reduction, if necessary.

Closed circuit crushing equipment layouts, like most mobile or portable crushers, are comparatively compact and an affordable alternative to the more elaborate open circuit crushing equipment layouts.

Additionally, for certain types of abrasive material, it can be useful to utilize a return-feed system in order to effectively reduce the material being processed.

However, the redundant processing of materials in a closed circuit crushing equipment layout does make for a slightly slower and less-efficient crushing equipment layout compared to if you had an open circuit crushing equipment layout.

For that reason, closed circuit crushing equipment layouts are generally more suited to sites where you can gain that efficiency back with the equipment’s mobility and flexibility.

Which Crushing Equipment Layout is Right for You?

The employment of either of these two types of crushing equipment layouts can depend on different variables, including the composition of the material being processed, the amount of space available on a job site, or even the funds allotted for acquiring rock crushing equipment.

91 manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of both open circuit and closed circuit crushing equipment layouts, including multiple types of mobile concrete crushers and aggregate crusher types.

No matter the circumstances, 91 has the equipment you need to make sure you are able to crush what needs to be crushed as efficiently as possible. If you have more questions or would like for more information on our products, contact us to speak with a Team Eagle representative.

Preparing for Cold Crushing /preparing-for-cold-crushing/ Wed, 26 Oct 2022 01:31:56 +0000 /?p=13255 The post Preparing for Cold Crushing appeared first on 91.

]]>

It’s that time of the year again, where temperatures in the northern hemisphere start to drop. You know that crushing in the cold, or shutting down your operation, isn’t too far away. The easiest way for your operation to freeze is by not knowing the proper procedures for cold crushing or for shutting down your equipment for the season.

Crushing in the Cold

If your operation continues through the cold, winter months, the most important part of your operation to prepare is your crew.

Before venturing out onto the frigid crusher site, team members should ensure that they are appropriately dressed for cold to freezing temperatures in order to prevent serious medical conditions. It is recommended to dress in thick layers and to insulate the head, ears, and extremities like hands and feet to maximize heat retention.

In addition to covering up the body from the cold, it is equally important to prepare the body for low temperatures by adequately stretching. Working outdoors in the winter weather can tighten muscles and lead to strains more quickly. By warming up and stretching beforehand, team members can avoid pulling a muscle while operating their crusher.

When a crew is running a crusher in the cold and performing physical labor, the energy they spend while working is intensified by lower temperatures. The same task that is accomplished in warmer months may not be completed as quickly in the winter, and it can be easy for team members to overexert themselves. It is essential to slow down and take breaks.

Similarly, winter weather presents safety hazards like slippery crushing equipment and ice on site. It is crucial for team members to assess the ground around them as they move about the job in order to avoid slips and falls. Likewise, it is necessary to maintain a crusher from becoming slippery as a fall while operating this machinery could result in serious injury.

Going into Hibernation

If you are planning to halt your operation for the season, now is the time to start planning maintenance on your equipment.

First, you need to perform an inspection on all your equipment. Inspect everything and make a list of what needs repaired or replaced now and what is likely to need repairs in the near future. You’ll have a list of mechanical and electrical issues but don’t forget about issues that may be a safety concern as well. This way, you’ll be on top of it when it’s time to start crushing again.

Once you have your list complete start planning your work. Here are a few questions to yourself. How much labor will I need? What parts do I have in stock? Are there parts I need to order and is there a lead time for them? After you have the answers to these questions you can begin to plan your work.

Planning for a productive start

Once you prepare your equipment and crew for cold crushing or hibernation, our best recommendation is to go back and review what went well and what went bad. Determine what made things go smooth and what were the setbacks or issues of why things went bad. What were the things that we could have done differently to make the work go quicker or better? Once you’ve determined these things your next planned maintenance will go even smoother.

Remember, your crushing operation is only at its best when your team and equipment are at their best. The winter season can bring with it challenges and taking the appropriate precautions may slow production; but it is valuable to take the time to be prepared. By safeguarding against the cold, your team will remain up and crushing.

Have more questions?

Members of Team Eagle are always available to answer any more questions you might have. Check out our various departments: sales, parts, service, dealers, or general contact.

This article does not serve as an official safety recommendation by 91 and should not be viewed as such. All relevant staff should consult their owner’s manual before operating 91 equipment, or any other manufacturer’s equipment, and comply with the safety guidelines therein.

A History of 91 Manufacturing /a-history-of-eagle-crusher-manufacturing/ Sat, 08 Oct 2022 01:40:10 +0000 /?p=13264 The post A History of 91 Manufacturing appeared first on 91.

]]>

October 7th is , and on this important day for American manufacturing, we wanted to share a little bit of history on our more that 100 years of manufacturing crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.

The idea that created 91

91 was founded around 1915 in Kenton, OH by C.L. Woods who was a distributor of Eagle Tractors in Ohio.
